JoyToy Titus vs. Aquilon Terminator: Which to Buy First

Compare the JoyToy Titus figure and the Aquilon Terminator for your first 1/18 scale Warhammer purchase, with stock timing, price, and display trade-offs.
Quick answer
Buy the JoyToy Titus with Laurels of Victory first if you want a lower-cost, recognizable centerpiece and can wait for the April 2026 stock update; choose the Aquilon Terminator with Infernus Firepike first only if the Legio Custodes silhouette and heavier visual presence matter more than price and immediate availability.
Why the price gap changes the first-figure decision
The Aquilon Terminator carries a higher catalog price than Titus, so it is not the low-risk trial purchase if you are still deciding whether 1/18 scale Warhammer figures fit your shelf. Titus costs less upfront, which leaves more budget for a second figure or display materials later.
That does not make the Aquilon a worse figure. It means the Aquilon is better treated as a deliberate centerpiece purchase once you know you like the scale and the JoyToy articulation style.
Stock timing is the hidden trade-off
The Titus listing notes an expected stock arrival in April 2026, while the Aquilon listing states an expected shipping time from March 2025. If you are buying now, check the current product page before ordering because these dates are supply updates, not permanent guarantees.
A first figure that arrives sooner lets you test scale and posing before committing to a larger squad. A first figure that arrives later may be worth the wait if it is the model you actually want on display.
Display impact versus shelf space
Terminator armor is visually broader and heavier in silhouette than standard power armor, so the Aquilon will likely dominate a small shelf. Titus with the Laurels of Victory reads as a more compact, character-focused display piece.
If your shelf is shallow or shared with other collectibles, measure the footprint before choosing the Aquilon. If you want a figure that anchors a larger Warhammer display, the Aquilon's presence is the reason to pay more.
Decision rules for your first JoyToy purchase
- If budget is the deciding factor: Choose Titus with Laurels of Victory. Its lower catalog price makes it the safer first 1/18 scale Warhammer figure and leaves room for a second purchase. Set a total budget for figure plus display space before ordering.
- If you need it soon: Check both product pages for current stock updates. The Aquilon lists shipping from March 2025, while Titus lists an April 2026 stock arrival, so neither is a guaranteed immediate dispatch. Treat listed dates as supply estimates, not promises.
- If you want a display centerpiece: Choose the Aquilon Terminator with Infernus Firepike. Its Terminator silhouette gives a broader, heavier presence that suits a dedicated Warhammer shelf. Measure shelf depth before committing to Terminator armor.
- If you are buying from the USA: The Titus listing states that US orders ship from a USA facility with USA tax, which simplifies delivery; confirm the same for the Aquilon on its product page before ordering. Check the shipping origin line on each product page, not just the price.
